Organization and coordination of FITUR Sports, the specialized sports tourism section within FITUR Madrid, including the professional congress, content programming and the exhibition and commercial area.
Context
FITUR is one of the world's leading international tourism trade fairs. In this context, FITUR Sports was created as a specialized space to give visibility to sports tourism as a strategic segment, bringing together destinations, companies, federations and industry stakeholders from sport and tourism.
Challenge
There was a need to create and consolidate a professional space within FITUR dedicated to sports tourism, connecting the sector's different stakeholders, generating knowledge through specialized content, and facilitating business opportunities between destinations, companies and sports organizations.
Approach
Organization and coordination of FITUR Sports, the specialized sports tourism section within the international FITUR Madrid fair, including the design of the professional congress, content programming and development of the exhibition and commercial area. This work is carried out as coordinator of the tourism committee of Spain is Sport – AFYDAD, under the collaboration agreement between FITUR Madrid (IFEMA) and the Spain is Sport – AFYDAD association, of which Sports Tourism Consulting is a member.
