Analysis and creation of a cycling tourism product for the province of Sugamuxi, Boyacá (Colombia)

Analysis of the offering and document of recommendations. Conference-workshop with organisations and businesspeople in the area of influence.
Within the framework of an initiative to design a tourism product in the Sugamuxi area of the Department of Boyacá (birthplace of renowned Colobian cyclists), recreational cycling (among other options) is being considered as a way to make the most of the cultural and scenic wealth of the area.

Need

– To raise awareness among local public and private stakeholders regarding the potential of cycling tourism and to offer them training.
– Diagnose the development potential of a recreational cycling tourism product.

Results

Participation in the Avia Consulting team of consultants as experts in sports tourism and cycling.
– Documents: analysis of the offering and of the development potential of the network of trails and cycling products.

– Conference-workshop with organisations and businesspeople from the area of influence.
